It is a mega project that shows the trends in sales and rental prices for all areas of all cities in Italy, allowing professional estimates of properties thanks to the "Rate it" tool.
# Development
In fractions of a second, the latitude and longitude of the address entered in the homePage is determined and compared with the more than 30,000 areas present in the DB (simple polygons, concentrics and multipolygons) relating to all areas of all cities in Italy (400,000 lines in the "empty" DB). The result is a page where you can calculate the rent or purchase of the desired property with the help of the "Rate it" button!
Although for the evaluometer it is necessary to specify at least the covered Mq, the more information is entered, the more precise the result will be.
# Conclusions
The project was very useful to verify the scalability of the framework used (Laravel 5.1), with huge amounts of data. Although inaccessible, the project also includes a management system which also provides for the sale of automated advertising space on the various pages of the site.
